FAQWe put together a list of frequently asked questions in the hopes that it'll streamline our communications with you. If you have a question that's not answered here, please let us know, and we'll get back to you on it as soon as we can.
PAYMENT OPTIONS Q - I want to pay with a credit card, not Paypal! I don't even have a Paypal account! How do I do this? A - Click on the "Pay with Paypal" button anyway. The next page that loads will give you an option to pay without a Paypal account; enter your credit card info there. If you have any problems, please let us know. SHIPPING/RETURNS Q - Do you sell/ship overseas? A - We're more than happy to do that, although the $7 flat rate only applies to CONUS shipping. If you're at an APO, use coupon code "APO FREE SHIPPING". If you're somewhere else, go ahead and place the order, pay for it as normal, and when your belt is ready for shipping, we'll get the difference and contact you for additional funds. Q - I ordered the wrong size/color/type of belt; how do I send it back? A - First, send us an email (sales@aresgear.com). If the issue is a deficiency on our part, we'll send you a prepaid postage label, you can stick it on the box, and drop it in any USPS mailbox. If the issue is a deficiency on your part, we're more than happy to take care of it, but you're responsible for shipping your belt back to us, and paying shipping ($7 flat rate CONUS)to get the new belt to you. SIZING Q - I wear a 32" jeans; what size belt do I need? A - The best way to measure for a belt is to measure a belt you currently use. Take the measurement in inches from the most used hole (or fold, on a rigger-style belt) to the far tip of the buckle. Then place that within one of our size ranges (30-36, 32-38, 34-40, etc.). Please take into consideration anything you may wear on the belt (IWB or OWB), as this can drastically change the sizing. For example, Jake wears trousers with a 34" waist, but has to wear a 34-40" belt (thanks to the gun, spare magazine, flashlight, etc.). LEAD TIME Q - Why does it take 4-6 weeks (or whatever the current lead time is) to get a belt? A - The honest truth is that it doesn't take 4 weeks to make a belt. It takes 4 weeks to get to YOUR belt. We're very heavily backlogged right now, and while we're taking steps to reduce (eliminate) this backlog, we're not there yet. Q - My lead time has come and gone. What's going on? A - Lead time is an estimate; some customers have gotten WAY shorter times, and others have had to wait past the initial estimate. This is something that unfortunately has happened to more than one customer; most of you have been more than flexible about it. The bottom line is that we're pushing as fast as we can, and we're more than happy to refund you at any time. All you have to do is ask. REFUNDS Q - How do I get a refund? A - Just contact us. We'd like to know if it's because we've disappointed you, but you don't have to tell us anything other than that you want a refund. If you paid via Paypal, the funds go back into your Paypal account; if you pay with a credit card, the funds go back onto the card. DISCOUNTS Q - Do you offer a military/LE/Public Service/student/industry/hometown/AAA/seasonal discount? A - Contact us. We can't offer a discount for everything, but there are a few. In general, we try to be reasonable about it; if you're serving in our nation's military, a discount is the least we can do for you. |
