The Gen2 (released 2020) has a buckle made from glass-filled nylon, resulting in increased corrosion resistance, decreased weight, increased convenience when traveling via commercial airline, and a decreased price from the Gen1. The Aegis belt is 1.5" wide and 0.15" thick, and is composed of 2 layers of our proprietary scuba webbing (4 color choices).
All components are made here in the USA (webbing, thread, and all parts of the buckle), and we sew them together at our shop in Central Ohio.
